Genesis 27:1 – 28:9: This is one of the most disturbing chapters in the whole Bible. We often hear today of “the” biblical family. Well, there is now way you would want a family like this one – even though it is in the Bible. A father chasing his own fleshly ends rather than God’s plan. A wife disrespecting her husband and manipulating her children. A son who is a consummate liar and a deceiver, who will do anything to get what he wants.
