Genesis 28:10-22: It is an amazing thing to consider how our God comes to us. Unlike every other religion, where men strive to get to “god” on their own, the Lord comes to us when we are not looking for Him – and when we don’t deserve Him. And He comes seeking to bless us. The God of Creation bows down to come to us with blessing and grace. This is where we find Jacob; alone, on the run, dishonored, and impoverished. God comes with blessing and promises. And Jacob responds in faith.
