This week, we will cover one of the most disturbing stories in the Bible – that of Jacob and his wives. In the span of seven years, God blesses the household of Jacob with 12 children. Yet God blesses Jacob in spite of his sinful actions with four women. This is a story of intense sadness, loneliness, bitterness, selfishness, pain, and disorder. We will see idolatry eating this family alive, as everyone is pursuing their own desires – but their desire is not God.
Jacob’s home is a place that needs Jesus.
